Snapchat launched “Now Playing,” letting users connect Spotify accounts to Snap Map so friends can see songs they’re currently streaming, discover music, and save tracks to Spotify from within Snapchat.
Snap Map attracts more than 450 million monthly users. Privacy options let users choose exactly who sees their listening activity.
The feature — extending a partnership dating to 2019 — displays only what a user is currently listening to (not history), and is rolling out globally, with Canada expected shortly.
