American IT hardware, software, and consulting solutions provider, Carahsoft has created a new community for K-12 schools and districts to help education leaders navigate artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and cyber readiness.
The ‘Empowering Tomorrow’s Digital Citizens’ community offers curated guidance, tools, and resources such as K-12 AI Readiness Framework, defining AI readiness across people, governance, data & security, and operations; K-12 Cybersecurity Framework, to help districts expand their cybersecurity posture; K-12 Cybersecurity Regulations, a guide to the latest policies for securing and protecting students’ personal information; Pillars for District Readiness, a framework for evaluating, planning, and implementing AI responsibly and effectively in schools; as well as K-12 Artificial Intelligence Readiness slide deck, covering state-level AI guidance, governance & policy, people & training, data & privacy, security & risk, responsible use, impact & measurement, and more.
The community also offers AI Integration Manual, a guide to integrating artificial intelligence in the classroom. In addition, the community’s resource center includes relevant events, procurement options, an E-rate blueprint, and an interactive grant funding platform powered by GrantLeads.AI.
Interested members who sign up will receive copies of two books from Watering Can Press: The AI Adventure Book: Growing Smart, Kind, and Creative with AI, coauthored by Alexis Bonnell, head of AI Adoption & Deployment in Government at OpenAI, and The Super Smart Cyber Guide for Kids. Carahsoft said the resource hub would be updated with new materials and testimonials over time.
