‘Onana leaving is a risk for Man Utd’ Jason Burt of The Telegraph believes it is a risk for Manchester United to sell Andre Onana and rely on new signing Senne Lammens this season. Lammens, 23, completed an £18.2m move from Royal Antwerp to Old Trafford on Deadline Day. “I question the strategy here.

If they wanted to move Onana on, they should have done it by now,” he said on Sunday Supplement. “You have got Bayindir, who has not been convincing, so you’re putting everything on a young goalkeeper who has not played a lot of games in the Belgian Pro League. “He has promise but was bought as a project.

They started the summer with their eggs in the striker basket, that’s where they put their money. “They knew two other issues, goalkeeper and midfield. They thought they could get away with one more year of Onana. Now they’ve suddenly said now we won’t. “Maybe Onana wants to go but if I were them, I’d be stronger and say you need to compete to be the No 1. “It’s a risk. There are enough risks at Man Utd at the moment.”

‘Onana agrees to join Trabzonspor’ Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has agreed to join Trabzonspor on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano. Sky Sports News reported last week that a departure in the goalkeeping department at United couldn’t be ruled out following the arrival of Senne Lammens.

All contracts are now said to be signed on Onana’s side to join the Turkish club. Onana considering Trabzonspor offer Latest from Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth and Vik Varange: Manchester United keeper Andre Onana is understood to be mulling over an offer to join Trabzonspor. The Turkish club want to sign the Cameroon international on a straight loan and have the framework of a deal in place should Onana want to join.

Sky Sports News reported last week a departure in the goalkeeping department at United cannot be ruled out following the £18.2m arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on Deadline Day. The Turkish window closes on September 11. ‘Trabzonspor agree to sign Man Utd goalkeeper Onana on loan’ Turkish side Trabzonspor have reached a verbal agreement to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Onana is reportedly weighing up whether to join Trabzonspor, with the move hinging on his decision. The Athletic are reporting that the deal does not include an option to buy. The Turkish transfer window closes on Friday, September 12. The 29-year-old has made several high-profile errors since joining Old Trafford from Inter Milan in a £47.2m deal in July 2023. His most recent mistake came in the Carabao Cup second-round defeat at League Two Grimsby.
