MTN Emerges First Telecom Operator To Earn ISO 28000:2022 Certification In Nigeria
MTN Nigeria has achieved the ISO 28000:2022 certification for its Supply Chain Security Management System (SCSMS), becoming the first telecommunications company in Nigeria to attain the international certification.
Announcing the feat on Monday, the company said the achievement reflected its commitment to internationally recognised best practices in security, risk management, governance and business continuity.
The ISO 28000:2022 standard provides a framework for organisations to identify, assess and mitigate security risks across their supply chain ecosystems. The certification recognises organisations that establish systems for managing supply chain security and strengthening operational resilience.
According to the telecoms giant, the certification will further support efforts to safeguard its people, assets, information and operations while maintaining secure and efficient service delivery to customers and other stakeholders.
It described the milestone as another step towards building a stronger, more resilient and future-ready organisation, with supply chain security positioned as an important component of its broader operational excellence and risk management strategy.
