MTN Group has announced the appointment of Ikenna Ikeme as executive for Group Regulatory Affairs, effective September 7, 2026.
Ikeme is currently general manager of Regulatory Affairs at MTN Nigeria.
The appointment is part of two internal executive changes announced by the group to strengthen its leadership capabilities and support the execution of its Ambition 2030 strategy.
In his new group-level role, Ikeme will oversee MTN’s regulatory agenda across its various markets, drawing on his extensive experience in regulatory affairs and related areas.
Ikeme brings more than 30 years of professional experience spanning the telecommunications, banking and insurance sectors.
His expertise includes regulatory affairs, public policy, compliance, stakeholder engagement and business transformation.
The appointment underscores the growing importance of regulatory leadership as MTN Group continues to navigate evolving policy and regulatory environments across its markets while advancing its long-term growth strategy.
