CertifID Acquires Closinglock, As New Zoning Data Platform Launches

The financial terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
CertifID protected 1.55 million transactions in 2025 while Closinglock has protected over 2 million transactions since its founding in 2017, the companies said. By joining forces, their aim is to give title companies an integrated approach to protecting transactions and moving funds. Customers will continue to be able to use their existing CertifID and Closinglock products and integrations while the companies work through the acquisition, according to a news release.
CertifID said the combined company will have about 220 employees and will serve more than 3,000 title companies and 35,000 title professionals across the country.
CertifID co-founder and chief executive officer, Tyler Adams will lead the combined company, while Closinglock Co-founder and CEO Andy White will become chief strategy officer.
The companies “recognise the tremendous responsibility and trust our customers place in our hands. For that reason, we remain committed to focusing on their needs first and are approaching the integration of these two products carefully,” Adams said.
Given the housing market’s “continued headwinds,” he added, “our responsibility is to deliver more protection and value for our customers without asking them to change platforms or restructure workflows.”
Snapdoor has announced that it is joining EXIT Realty’s Premier Partner Program, a move that gives EXIT agents access to the company’s private-label seller dashboard.
The dashboard automatically records and displays recent activity — including showings, open house attendance and offers — to give sellers a centralized view of marketing and transaction progress. EXIT Realty’s branding appears throughout the platform, while activity is timestamped and logged to provide brokers with a record of listing activity, according to a news release. Snapdoor’s platform will be available to EXIT agents through the EXIT Marketplace.
The partnership “puts a live seller dashboard within reach of every EXIT Associate, from a first-year Associate to a large team,” Snapdoor Co-founder Dylan Kohler said.
EXIT “built its Premier Partner Program around resources that help Associates grow their businesses,” Kohler added, “and that is exactly what Snapdoor was designed to do.”
Land Use Labs gets off the ground
Land Use Labs has announced its official launch, debuting a commercial zoning data platform that packages local land-use regulations into products for developers, lenders, attorneys, consultants, researchers and public agencies.
The company’s six offered products — Parcel Reports, Zoning API, Zoning Districts, Zoning Slices, Zoning Tables and Zoning Rasters — provide property-level reports, structured regulatory data, GIS layers and standardised statistics for site selection, underwriting, feasibility analysis and land-use research, among other uses.
Land Use Labs said its data is sourced from official codes and maps, reviewed by human analysts and updated regularly. Public agencies, researchers and planning consultants are using its data for projects like rezonings, transit-oriented development and site selection, according to a news release.
“Land Use Labs will not only supercharge the real estate industry’s ability to plan, forecast, and build by tackling the industry-wide challenge of understanding the fragmented regulatory landscape but will also sustain the National Zoning Atlas as a free, public resource for years to come,” Founder Sara Bronin said.
