MTN South Africa committed to investment in digital infrastructure

MTN South Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to investing in resilient digital infrastructure, expanding access to connectivity and working with stakeholders to create opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities.

The multinational telecom giant made this known during a meeting with South Africa’s Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, as part of the company’s ongoing engagement with key stakeholders in the telecommunications sector.

The meeting, led by MTN South Africa chief executive officer, Ferdi Moolman, and the company’s executive committee, focused on the state of South Africa’s telecommunications industry, key sector challenges, emerging opportunities and measures needed to accelerate digital inclusion, investment and economic growth.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration between government and the private sector in expanding connectivity, supporting innovation and ensuring that more South Africans benefit from the country’s growing digital economy.
